Bukola continues her momentous summer with her latest track, “Taste of Freedom,” the first follow up to July’s, “I’m Not From California.” Just as it did on the previous, the singer/songwriter’s personality and charisma shine throughout this newest offering, only this time enveloping the song with a warmer, summery glow. Her velvety vocals, while sleek, present a freeing tenderness in delivery, imbuing a joyous and lighthearted spirit within the record. The track also features a subtle nod to the nostalgic, coming-of-age vibe of the early 2000’s, extending a sweet, comforting layer to the song. “Taste of Freedom” emits an authentic feeling of self-liberation, while also capturing the essence of carefree summer days. Bukola’s continued ability to craft music that is vividly resonant makes for all the more excitement at the prospect of an upcoming project, let’s hope these singles are leading the way.
